A new Pixar-inspired game is coming to Steam and Game Pass, and it looks wacky, emotional, and so very cute.

StudioBando’s upcoming game Sopa: Tale Of The Stolen Potato is set in South America and follows Miho, who is whisked to a distant fantasy land after trying to fetch a potato for his grandma’s soup in her pantry.

Miho must explore the unfamiliar world and follow the steps of an ancient traveller to find ingredients for his grandma’s soup, but finds that every time he returns home, things change in unexpected ways.

On your four-hour adventure, you’ll need to venture through a world of magical rainforests, talking creatures, and teetering towns, and aid Miho as he paddles down rivers, collects mysterious items, meets strange characters, solves tricky puzzles, and unlocks memorable songs.

Miho’s adventure will see him meet a number of strange creatures.

StudioBando has described the game as a “captivating tale about the things we pass along” with a story that features “honest wit and warmth”, and a soundtrack featuring Latin American beats from contemporary artists.

Alongside the main touching story, you can help Miho through several side quests to collect pieces of his grandma’s storied clay figurine collection.

Sopa: Tale Of The Stolen Potato will launch on October 7th for PC via Steam (Wishlist it here) and Game Pass, and for Xbox and Xbox Game Pass.
