After selling over 500,000 copies worldwide, developer neoludic Games has confirmed that its highly acclaimed book selling game Tiny Bookshop is launching on PlayStation 5 and will be getting a physical release for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch consoles next year.

Tiny Bookshop is a narrative business sim where you’re tasked with managing and decorating a small travelling bookshop across the seaside town of Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea, all while collecting stamps, enjoying seasonal events, and helping a cast of colourful characters with their own problems and heartfelt stories.

Tiny Bookshop launched earlier this year on Steam and Nintendo Switch, but in April 2026, it will finally launch on PlayStation 5 alongside a physical release for both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch consoles.

The physical edition bundle will include a copy of the game, a digital soundtrack download code, a digital artbook download code, and an exclusive Tiny Bookshop-themed bookmark.

The PS5 version of the game and the physical edition will both launch on April 10, 2026, and you can pre-order the physical bundle through Silver Lining Direct right now.

Tiny Bookshop milestones so far

Since its launch in August 2025, Tiny Bookshop has:

  • Sold over 500,000 copies worldwide
  • Reached #1 on Nintendo’s eShop for three consecutive weeks
  • Won Best German Video Game, Best Indie Game, and Best Graphics at the German Developer Award 2025

But why do so many people like Tiny Bookshop?

Personally, I’ve sunk several dozen hours into Tiny Bookshop, and found that I very quickly fell in love with its cast of diverse characters, its gorgeous seaside setting, and the calming but moreish gameplay loop.

I loved decorating my bookshop with new items earned from completing quests, purchased with my hard-earned money (Whenever I had some to spare, that is!), and by scrounging the environment around me.

Analysing each location, from universities and beaches to town squares and supermarkets, to correctly predict which genre of books would be sold and scrabbling to restock my collection while also providing customers with recommendations was addictive and gave me a much-needed dopamine hit whenever my suggestions went down well.

Changing seasons and frequent events help prevent Tiny Bookshop from feeling too repetitive, but some cozy gamers who don’t enjoy repeating similar tasks frequently may have an issue with the game. Still, anyone seeking a fresh, calming experience that is heartfelt and wholesome with a dab of business management will absolutely enjoy Tiny Bookshop.

Tiny Bookshop is on Nintendo Switch consoles, PlayStation 5, and Steam, with a PC demo available too.

In a statement, David Zapfe-Wildemann, Game Designer at neoludic games, said: “Seeing Tiny Bookshop grow from a passion project into a game enjoyed by over half a million players has been incredible.

“Bringing a physical edition to fans lets them keep a piece of Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea on their shelf.”

Eben Cunningham, Sales & Bizdev Coordinator, Silver Lining Interactive, added: “Physical games are special to cozy collectors, and Tiny Bookshop truly belongs on a bookshelf. We’re thrilled to package the game with a soundtrack, digital artbook, and bookmark to celebrate this community favorite.”

What’s next for Tiny Bookshop?

Back in September, neoludic games confirmed in a Discord post that the dev team is working on addressing a backlog of player reports, implementing various bug fixes, and improving the overall experience of the game.

The team also revealed in the post that the team will be looking at bringing “some much-needed quality-of-life updates” into the game, such as the ability to save Bookshop loadouts, and is taking a look at “new content” to add to the game with more info to come soon.

More recently, a 1.1.0 Patch was confirmed for Tiny Bookshop, which will be released in December and highlight “the wonderful work of the Tiny Bookshop Book Council” – a team responsible for reviewing new titles to add to the in-game book collection – with the addition of new books.

More details will be shared soon on the upcoming update, so stay tuned.
